To our valued TBO patients:
At Thunder Basin, patient safety has always been our top priority and as the COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly spread throughout the world as well as the country, we have all had to change how we do things. In order to best protect the health of you, our patients, our staff/providers and their families we are instituting several changes (hopefully temporary) in how we will manage clinic visits.
First, please assess your own current physical condition and risk of having been possibly exposed to Coronavirus by answering the following 3 questions which will be asked prior to being seen in clinic:
1. Do you or any member of your household have symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath?
2. Have you or anyone in your household traveled outside the united states in the last 14 days?
3. Has anyone in your household been in contact with anyone that has or is suspected of having COVID-19?
If you are sick, have recently been sick, have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, please do not come to clinic. Instead, please CALL your primary care provider or CALL the ER.
Second, as recommended by the CDC and in accordance with social distancing guidelines, please come to your appointment alone if you are able or with a single family member/caregiver to minimize unnecessary contact with multiple people.
Thirdly, in order to minimize unnecessary contact with other patients when you arrive at the clinic we ask that you would please call the clinic at 307-682-6222 (for all clinic locations) and you will be given further instructions which may include waiting in your vehicle until we have an available room. We will do our best to immediately room patients to avoid multiple people in common or waiting areas.
With patient safety at the forefront and given the somewhat precarious current situation with the rapid, not completely understood transmission of the novel coronavirus we are doing our best to minimize risk to our patients. If you would feel more comfortable, we would gladly reschedule your appointment for a later date when conditions are less concerning. If you are a routine postop patient with no specific concerns, we would be happy to schedule a time for a phone consultation. If your musculoskeletal problem is not urgent or severe in nature we would be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date when current health concerns have lessened.
